Frédéric Léglise is a painter born in Nantes in 1972, graduated from ENSBA in Paris in 1998, he has taught at the Beaux Arts in Grenoble since 2007. He is part of the new wave of artists who are reconnecting with figurative painting. Inspired by his models captured in complete intimacy through photography, he brings to life figures with intense colors that define his artistic style. His meeting with his Chinese wife Jojo Wang in 2009 marked a turning point in his art, encouraging him to integrate Asian faces into his paintings to explore an artistic dimension beyond Western borders.
